Scarlet! Rules On How To Wear Red

High-voltage hits of fiery red lend an up-to-the-minute edge to your look this season. Follow these rules on how to go scarlet, though red is tricky but with our tips here, you’ll be the style envy of everyone.
1. Choose something tailored. I hate to say it, but a red chiffon dress with ruffles or a plunging neckline or too flowy a silhouette reminds me
of only one thing: Flamenco dancers. You want to send a message that you're sophisticated, not slutty. Go for something with sharp lines and a fairly conservative cut to avoid looking too come-hither.

2. Don't over-accessorize. Red is an undeniably powerful colour (just ask Valentino, the undisputed king of the scarlet frock), and it speaks volumes on its own. Cluttering up the look with a pile of necklaces or a loud printed scarf is a no-no. Wear one pretty piece of jewellery, like a simple bangle or a great pair of earrings.

3. Add something neutral. When it comes to red, I think a metallic pair of shoes totally works- either in gold, silver or bronzy. Black and navy colours are also good alternatives.
