Mary Konye Jailed for Acid Attack on Girlfriend, Naomi Oni....

Finally, Naomi Onion gets the justice she so deserves. Cos her attacker and friend Mary Konye has been jailed for 12 years, for throwing acid in her face. Naomi Oni was on her way home from work in December 2012 when her girlfriend, 22 years old Mary  Konye attacked her out of jealousy. Naomi Oni, 22, suffered bu
rns to her face and chest in the attack, permanent scars to her leg, chest, stomach and arms and was almost blinded in one eye. She needed skin grafts, must now wear a silicon face mask and faces further reconstructive surgery.

Mary was found guilty in January. She has admitted throwing the acid since her conviction but claims she did not intend to cause injury to Ms Oni's face.
