27th of October 2013 at the Avenue Suites, Tiamiyu Savage, Victoria
Island Lagos,Osas Ighodaro and Co-founder Sioux Greaux launched their
NGO - Joyful Joy Foundation which supports the push for a healthier and
Malaria-free Africa.
Osas founded the NGO in honor of her sister Joy Ighodaro, who died of malaria while pregnant in 2006.
Joy had contracted malaria during a trip to Nigeria, and because there was little awareness on early
diagnosis back then, mummy and unborn baby tragically lost their lives.
The event was hosted by Tinsel’s Gbenro Ajibade and Vimbai Mutinhiri of Africa Magic’s StarGist.
