“I’m More Afraid Of The Living Than The Dead”: Meet The Man Who Lives In A Tomb With His Best Friend’s Skeleton

A homeless Brazilian man has been living inside a crypt with the skeleton of his best friend for the last 13 years.

Former broker Fabio Beraldo Rigol, 47, reportedly moved into the creepy catacomb in Santa Isabel after his business went bust and he turned to drugs.

He claims his family “disowned” him so he asked his dead pal, who’d died some years before, if he could move in.
And he says the crypt, which has space for six bodies, provides perfect shelter from the rain, cold and muggers.

“I’m more afraid of
the living than the dead. I’ve never seen a ghost. It gets a bit quiet here sometimes, but I’m not a big talker, so it suits me,” he told G1.

“When it’s raining I stay inside. I never want for anything. When I need people there is always someone who gives it to me. God never lets me go hungry,” added Popo, as he is nicknamed.

But Rigol said he one day hoped to move out of his makeshift home.

“I still want to have my own house, even if it’s just a bedroom and a bathroom. I want to go back to work if there’s a chance. My life hasn’t finished yet,” he sai

  1. I kind of agree with him~ although it would creep me out. There wouldn't be bed bugs, some of horrible people (not all in shelters are horrible) seen in the shelters here in the US... I can't imagine how cold it must be in the Winter though. God Bless him.
