BON Bans Tuface, Wizkid, BankyW, All COSON Registered Artistes' Songs From Being Played On Air

The Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria (BON) has banned songs by mostly top Nigerian musicians from airplay, in protest of what they called 'COSON's attitude of antagonism and harassment, arbitrary levying on broadcast stations by the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON).

The musicians, who were identified as COSON registered artistes'/members include:

Other artistes who also got nods in the same category include Ghana's

The winner of the category will represent Africa at the global music
celebration.
Voting begins today at www.mtvema.com The Best African Act winner
will move on to the next phase of voting which is the Worldwide Act
category.
The show will be broadcast live on MTV (DSTV Channel 130) on Sunday
10th November 2013.
